We just moved into a new place and the internet man FINALLY came (those four days in the stone ages felt like a century). But I am back, and our new place has a wood burning fireplace with a mantle, and I am ready to spruce it up. Our place is from the 70′s so everything is a brownish/yellow colour right now, but the good thing about that era…WOOD. The mantle is a thick. raw wood, with a wood panelling above.
