Check out this video I found on Love Global. It’s called First World Problems and is kind of funny but kind of not, its one of those things that just makes you realize how stupid you can sound sometimes, and how thankful we should live!

Working on some t-shirt designs for a client at Focused Screen Printing. This is a rejected design, but hey, I liked it so I thought I would share.

It’s Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, and I have lots to be thankful for. It seemed like the perfect day for a walk since it snowed for the first time today, then broke out into a bright blue sky ten minutes later. As I walked in the cold air, leaves at my feet, bundled in my new toque my mom knit for me, I thanked God for so many things, big and small: the crisp air, my husband and best friend, family, for providing us new opportunities, nature, and for adventures to come. Life is good, and I am reminded to live in a state of thankfulness.

Autumn and especially October is one of my favourite times, for many reasons, but one being pumpkin season. I have a rule in October that everything I bake must contain pumpkin. I have yet to find the perfect pumpkin muffin but I did find the perfect pumpkin scone. This recipe is adapted (barely, cause I am not that good at adapting) from Style at Home Magazine. Also, I added a drizzle of pumpkin cream cheese icing which is not in the recipe. Enjoy.

“Everything is not as though it seems, for it is dawn and with the sun I am waking up to dream.” I love this quote by my friend and poet Randi, and thought this graphic was a perfect daydream. Enjoy and download here!

This is Proud Mary. They start off their Mission Statement with “We believe in design that solves problems”, and NO, this is not the kind of design problems we learned about in school, these are real world problems, poverty problems, feed your kid kinda problems. Alongside artisans in South America they create beautiful textile pieces including scarves, bags, and pillows. Where will you choose to shop this Christmas?
